Cut refers to the proportions of a diamond and will determine
the way a diamond disperses light.
that is cut well…to good proportions,
will allow light to reflect from one facet to another, and will provide
the maximum display of brilliance beautifully, and certainly increase its value.
A diamond that is not cut well, whether it be too shallow or too deep
will lose light, and will be less brilliant and certainly less valuable.
While nature may determine a diamond's color, clarity, and even carat weight,
the talent and experience of the diamond cutter greatly influences the brilliance
released from a diamond and thus, the value of the diamond.
